What is fever?
Fever is a defence mechanism the body uses to fight infections, and is therefore frequently associated with childhood illnesses. A body temperature that is consistently above the normal temperature range is called a fever.
Safe & Hygenic
The Braun ThermoScan IR Ear Thermometer is very safe and child friendly. It contains no glass that could break and no mercury, giving peace of mind especially where children are concerned. The risk of transferring germs from one user to another is virtually eliminated through the use of disposable Lens Filters, that must be used each time the thermometer is utilised.
Braun is well known and respected in Australian households. Braun has maintained a high level of product quality and efficacy over many decades.
The probe tip is the most delicate part of the thermometer.
It has to be clean and intact to ensure accurate readings.
Lens Filters must be used each time a reading is taken.
The Braun ThermoScan IR Ear Thermometer Lens Filters are packaged in a cardboard pack in packs of 40’s.
How to Use the Braun ThermoScan
1. To achieve accurate readings, make sure a new, clean lens filter is in place before each measurement.
2. Push the ‘start’ button. Wait for the ready signal beep and the ready symbol in the display.
3. Fit the probe snugly into the ear canal, then push the ‘start’ button.
4. If the probe has been positioned securely into the ear canal, a long beep will signal the end of the measuring process. Remove the thermometer and read the result on the display. If not, the thermometer will indicate the problem on the display – consult the instruction manual for more detail.
Warning: If fever or complaints persist, consult your doctor.
